Mascot of the Choirs
Sir Theodore Higgins, a Yorkshire Terrier, is the mascot of the choirs for Rock Spring Presbyterian Church. While many associate this breed of terrier as English, it was Scotsmen that brought the Yorkshire Terrier to Yorkshire as they sought work in the woolen mills. The Presbyterian Church also has roots in Scotland, so the Yorkshire Terrier seemed a logical choice for the mascot of the choirs at Rock Spring.
While not officially knighted by the Queen of England, Sir Theodore Higgins' sophistication is meritorious of knighthood. He is well mannered and attends rehearsals on occasion, where he enjoys working with the choirs and making the rounds to encourage full participation and singing..
