Pastor Karen Allamon is a graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary with post-graduate studies in Systems Theory. She also holds a BFA from the Conservatory at Webster University. Karen is the winner of a PTS senior preaching prize, an invited scholar of the Oxford Roundtable on Science and Religion, and an honoree in Who's Who in America and Who's Who in American Women. Her work for the Presbyterian Church (USA) includes designing Presbytery worship services, administrative coaching for churches in transition, and serving as Professor of Worship and Sacraments for the Commissioned Lay Pastor program while at the Presbytery of Genesee Valley. Pastor Karen is a Certified Crisis Counselor and is available to both members and friends for counseling needs.

Lois Thomas
Lois joined the Rock Spring Staff in January, 2012. Lois is originally from Cleveland, Ohio, and holds an AD in Secretarial Science from Cuyahoga College. She comes to us by way of Long Beach, California, where she served in the Long Beach City College Library for three years. Prior to that Lois was a legal secretary for 10 years in the California offices of one of the largest law firms in the country. Lois' kind warmth is a blessing to our staff, members, and neighborhood.

Katherine (Kat) Bechtel-Hall is a native Texan and moved to the Atlanta area 6 years ago. She holds a BS in Elementary Education from Texas State University, a M.Ed. in Reading from Mercer University and she is certified in Pre-Kindergarten through Middle Grades in the State of Georgia. She has been an educator for 15 years and recently traveled to West Africa to supervise Mercer student teachers at a school in Liberia. She taught kindergarten at Rock Spring KDO Preschool for two years before becoming director. Kat and her husband live in Decatur with their three year old son Hollister, and their dog, Butter Bean. |
