Kids When a baby is baptized at Rock Spring Presbyterian, the whole congregation promises to help in the Christian nurture of the child. It is part of being Presbyterian. Our nursery cares for infants and toddlers during worship services. Sunday school begins at 9:45 AM for children aged 2 years and older. During Sunday Worship, all children sit with their parents for the beginning of the service and then have their own Children's sermon with the pastor at the front of the sanctuary . After the Children's sermon, the younger children leave for their own worship service which is patterned after the grownups' service, but geared for kids. Our middle school and high school students also enjoy youth group on Sunday nights where they explore Christian perspectives on faith, self-esteem, family, friends, and more. From the cradle through their youth, Rock Spring kids make lifelong friendships. Our Kids Day Out program is an outreach ministry to the community for infants, toddlers, and pre-schoolers. This program provides morning and early afternoon instruction and fun for infants and children to age five. The hours are from 8:45 AM to 12:45 PM and extended care is offered from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Children under the age of two may attend for one or two days per week, while those two to five may attend for one to five days per week. The Director and staff of nine teachers have over 74 years of teaching experience. |
